The word achikule is simply a shortened, Japanese phonetic of the word “articulate.” — which of course means to communicate effectively and coherently. This bilingual blog is about my attempt to articulate various muddy matters, mainly focusing on the Japanese-American culture gap, young Japanese in the workplace and political participation, hikikomori and ecological science. My hope is to add a thin line of defense against cultural imperialism, while giving me practice in writing.
